Discovery, connection and fun
That's what dancing is about for us. We've run dance schools since 2009, and DansensHus in Tromsø is our second home.

We're a mixed bag of professional dancers and business professionals with one thing in common: a passion for dance. We draw on our differences, and each of us adds to the friendly room we try to keep.
We've watched dancing change people's lives, and that's why we can say it with confidence: dancing is for everyone. You'll find a new passion, make friends and join a community that keeps learning together. And it's a lot of fun.
Learning for life
Everyone at DanceLab is learning: students, instructors and directors. Dancing builds confidence, self-esteem and social skills that reach well beyond the dance floor.
JT and Ania
Co-founders of DanceLab DansensHus
Together they spent eight years travelling the world as salsa and bachata artists, and they've run four dance schools in Norway, from pole fitness to Latin dance.
Ania was born in Poland and has made her living from dance in the Netherlands, Poland, the USA and now Norway. A former S-class ballroom dancer, she has trained eight Norwegian champions in pole sport and was head coach of the junior elite national ballroom team in Stavanger. She also owns Polepointe studio.
JT, also known as The Party Viking, came to dance late. Sports injuries ended his football, and dance took over while he studied engineering in Stavanger.

Arctic Jam
Street art, music and dance. Free for children and young people.
A shared platform where children and young people can take part without financial pressure, with community, experience and integration at the centre.
The idea behind Arctic Jam

- Music
- A stage for North Norwegian artists, so they can build their careers and a local foundation for the musicians coming after them.
- Art
- Street art by North Norwegian and international artists, pushing Tromsø's streets in an artistic direction, plus exhibitions with roots in hip hop culture.
- Dance
- An international hip hop gathering in Arctic surroundings, bringing top dancers north to compete and to run activities for young people.
